"But would you kindly ponder this question: What would your good do if evil didn't exist, and what would the earth look like if all the shadows disappeared? After all, shadows are cast by things and people. Here is the shadow of my sword. But shadows also come from trees and living beings.  Do you want to strip the earth of all trees and living things just because of your fantasy of enjoying naked light? You're stupid."
~Mikhail Bulgakov

Red Bitch

My baby left me 10 years ago.  She wasn't in this rough of shape, but she likely would be now if the head gasket hadn't taken her when it did.  She was red and we had a lot of fun together. How I miss her so, even knowing that buying gas for a steel beast would be nearly impossible today.  But my heart skips a bit at this sight....  I want to get in, get on the highway, press the gas, lift right off the road and cruise for awhile with the windows down.  Probably sing at the top of my lungs too. Yes.

at the edge of the world

In some sense man is a microcosm of the universe; therefore what man is, is a clue to the universe.  We are enfolded in the universe.
~David Bohm
